Ministries
Blind Center of the Jersey Cape: Our church
hosts the Blind Center on Tuesday and
Thursday of each week. Volunteers work
with members by assisting with activities
and meals. If you have a talent or skill to
share with the group, you are encouraged
to contact the Director.
Church Choirs: If you enjoy music and would
like to sing or ring bells, come out and be
part of our bell choir and/or chancel choir.
You don't have to read music. Just come
prepared to sing God's praise. Our choirs
share their musical gifts during worship all
year around.
Rehearsals: Thursday Nights
Bell Choir: 5:30 p.m.,
Chancel Choir: 7:30 p.m.
Family Promise: Quarterly, we volunteer
our support to the county-wide program
that offers housing, meals, and support to
homeless children and their families. You
can help by preparing and serving a meal,
visiting with parents, helping children
with homework, or staying overnight in
the church help provide a safe and secure
environment.
Parish Nurse: Our Parish Nurse Ministry
provides physical, emotional, and spiritual
support to those in need. Our nurses are
also available for routine questions and
they provide medical resources and
referrals. If you are a nurse who would like
to work with this ministry, please contact
the Pastor.
Prayer Shawl: If you like to knit and/or
crotchet (or if you would like to learn), join
us in our Prayer Shawl/Blanket ministry.
Small blankets are distributed to shut-ins,
to new babies, and to those who are
hospitalized or grieving. During the
summer, the group meets on Thursday
mornings at 10:00 A.M. During the rest of
the year, our knitters and crocheters work
from home.
Prayer Box: People are invited to submit prayer
requests. The Prayer Box is located at the front
steps of the church.
Vacation Bible School: Join us in July for our
week day Vacation Bible School. The
program is open to all children between the
age of four and eleven (pre-school through
sixth grade.) You can help us with teaching,
Bible study, crafts, recreation, music,
snacks or administration. VBS is Monday-
Friday from 9:00AM until Noon. A closing
program is presented on Friday for family
and friends followed by an indoor picnic.
The children are also invited to sing in
worship on the following Sunday.
