Blind Center of the Jersey Cape
Our church hosts the Blind Center on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. Volunteers work with members by assisting with activities and meals. If you have a talent or skill to share with the group, you are encouraged to contact the Director.
Music Ministry
We are blessed at FUMC to have a thriving music program. Our Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir offer their musical gifts on a year-round basis. The Chancel Choir of approximately 10-15 singers meets every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. We sing a variety of music from traditional to contemporary anthems every Sunday. The Handbell Choir meets every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. We have a 3 octave set of Malmark Handbells and perform one to two times per month. The Music Ministry of FUMC supports the scriptural message presented by the Pastor to help create a cohesive message of music and spoken word.
All are welcome to join our choirs!  The ability to read music is not necessary but a commitment to attending rehearsals is encouraged. If you are interested, sit in on a rehearsal and talk to our Choir Director/Organist.
Rehearsals: Wednesday Nights (updated 5/30/21)
Handbell Choir: Resuming in July - Time TBD
Chancel Choir: Wednesdays 6 p.m.
Family Promise
Quarterly we volunteer our support to the county-wide program that offers housing, meals, and support to homeless children and their families. You can help by preparing and serving a meal, visiting with parents, helping children with homework, or staying overnight in the church to help provide a safe and secure environment.
Parish Nurse
Our Parish Nurse Ministry provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to those in need. our nurses are also available for routine questions and they provide medical resources and referrals. If you are a nurse who would like to work with this ministry, please contact the Pastor.
Prayer Shawl
If you like to knit and/or crochet (or if you would like to learn), join us in our Prayer Shawl/Blanket ministry. Small blankets are distributed to shut-ins, to new babies, and to those who are hospitalized or grieving. During the summer, the group meets on Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. During the rest of the year, our knitters and crocheters work from home.
Prayer Box
People are invited to submit prayer requests. The Prayer Box is located at the front steps of the church.
